I put up a simple bulletin board with a variety of red stuff tacked on, including a few of the color chart pieces I bought at the local dollar store. I also put the family picture book I made for Curls last week on a length of ribbon with clothespins. (I white-out the kids names, but they're labeled too) For his art, I simply set a red tray out with paper and a few red crayons out on top of his activity shelf.
Fine Motor
The popsicle sticks with the parmesan container was one of Curls favorite activities to do last week, so I only changed the popsicle sticks to red ones, and included a red container to hold them.
Visual Discrimination/Sensorial
For sensorial, Curls used the red cups from his stacking/nesting cup set that he had received as a gift for Christmas. They come in a set of 10 with red, orange, and yellow cups, which I will use with their appropriate week and also for learning patterns when he's older; we're only using the red cups this week.
Practical Life
For practical life, I just put an assortment of red things in a tray for Curls to practice opening and closing.
His favorite is the 'treasure box' |
It has a small clasp to manipulate. |
He wanted me to open this one! |
Curls also enjoys going over his charts daily, especially his alphabet one.
Also, as you can see, we've been wearing a lot of red at home!
